| A Nail FAC of the 23rd TASS was flying near Ban Dong Hene in southern Laos on an Igloo White mission when its front engine was shot out by small arms fire. Lt Col Ferguson crash-landed the aircraft (call sign Nail 6) on small airstrip and he and his observer were later rescued by a USAF SAR helicopter. |
