| One of Nha Trang’s Bird Dogs was lost during a FAC mission seven miles southwest of the airfield on the 18th. Capt Ziaseker (call sign Walt 31) was flying at low-level en route to a target when his aircraft was hit in the engine by automatic weapons fire. He crash-landed without injury and was swiftly picked up by a HH-43B Huski from Nha Trang. |
