| Capt ‘Bat’ Masterson was flying a night mission near Ban Kangthat in central Laos when his aircraft’s gyro toppled and his attitude indicator failed. He became disorientated in the darkness and radioed that he was ejecting. Although an extensive search of the area was made over the next few days, there was no sign of Capt Masterson who is presumed to have died in the jungles of Laos. Capt Masterston was of Canadian origin. |
