| A Bird Dog (call sign Walt 3) was hit by small arms fire during a FAC mission about 15 miles southwest of Nha Trang. The aircraft did not appear to be too badly damaged at first but later in the mission the engine stopped. Maj Albright was injured in the ensuing crash landing but was recovered by a US Army helicopter. |
