An F-100 (call sign Litter 14) and an O-2 (call sign Nail 38) collided in mid-air over South Vietnam. It is probable that the O-2 was controlling the strike for the F-100 flight. Fortunately, both pilots survived their ordeal and were rescued by Jolly Green 15, a HH-3E of the 40th ARRS captained by Lt Col Royal Brown. |
