| A ‘slow’ FAC was also lost on the 18th. 1Lt Mueller was flying over a target at 1,500 feet about 35 miles west of Pleiku, close to the border with Laos, when his aircraft (call sign Elliot) was hit by small arms fire. He headed east but the aircraft crashed near Plei Djereng and 1Lt Mueller was killed. |
