| An OV-10 (call sign Nail 7) was on a FAC mission to the northwest of Hué when it fell victim to an SA-7 SAM. The crew were controlling an air strike against enemy troops in contact with friendly forces and the Bronco was flying at 5,000 feet and 150 knots when it was hit by the missile. The crew ejected about seven miles north of Hué and were rescued by a VNAF helicopter. |
