| During a visual reconnaissance mission a Bird Dog from Bien Hoa crashed seven miles north of Vung Tau. Enemy action was thought possible but not confirmed as being the cause of the crash, which killed both crewmen. This was the 50th USAF Bird Dog lost in South Vietnam since the war began. |
