| The 504th TASG was activated at Bien Hoa on 8 December to replace the 505th TACG as the supervising organisation for the USAF’s FAC squadrons in Southeast Asia. Operational control of the FACs remained vested in the local Army Corps and Divisions. During a visual reconnaissance flight a Bird Dog crashed as a result of pilot error. |
