Chris Hobson
Chris Hobson is a retired professional librarian and archivist who has managed military libraries in the UK for over 40 years.
His first post was at the Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine at Farnborough in 1974, followed by the Royal Air Force Staff College at Bracknell from 1976 until it was merged into the Joint Services Command and Staff College in 1997. The College moved three years later to Shrivenham where Chris retired in 2016.
He is the author of nine books and over 80 journal articles on various aspects of military aviation history as well as 15 publications on local and family history. He is also an avid photographer and has amassed a collection of over 40,000 aircraft photographs from 1963 to the present day.
